  3. Do they have a website? and if so, does it look professional?
  4. Do they offer ‘tracking; as a benefit?
  5. Do they have testimonials in their website?
  6. If they seem a bit “fishy”, it’s a good idea to check their record on ‘Hello Peter’.
  7. Do they pay attention to issues like the author’s unique ‘voice’, syntax’, active and passive voice etc?
  8. Do they offer a double-edit at no extra cost?
  9. Do they offer a range of services such as cover design, ebook design and layout, and copy editing as a standard service, instead of just proofreading?
  10. Will they be able to ‘get under the skin’ of your writing?
  11. Do they respond promptly to your quote requests on a user friendly quote form?
  12. Do they do a sufficiently thorough job of proofreading and editing so as to prevent a risk of plagiarism?
