Something to think about!
South Africa is no longer the wonderful country it was. During the last thirty years It has been completely ruined by the idiots who are still in charge now. All the cadres want now is to steal, loot and fill their pockets while there is still loot to be had.
The upheavals caused by the scandals about South African regarding corruption in our country, the high crime rates and our close association with terrorist countries have caused a long overdue feeling of disappointment to show itself; due to shockingly low incomes and level of destitution; and slowly but surely, the bulk of the population is losing all faith in the criminal ANC cadres, including the top leaders who are now shedding crocodile tears on public platforms as they do not know what to do next to save the country.
However, despite all the disaster that’s happening, the tide is turning! Next year’s municipal election is certain to produce new coalitions, headed by competent people who have the interests of our country’s people at heart.
The point of all this is that, although a tidal wave of change is coming; it will take quite some time before the mess we as a country are in, is corrected.
Meanwhile, why should you as the youth in South Africa have to shoulder the burdens your forbears created? Get out of the country while you can and experience life while you are still young and flexible enough to do so.
These days; with the help of google and AI, you can learn a second language to get directions, read roadsigns or find a restaurant at will.
The world of information is wide-open to all, particularly the young, which means that they have at their fingertips tools they can leverage to; start a business, make a fortune or travel the world. Anybody, young or old, can satisfy their dreams. All they need is a laptop.
Wow! What a statement that is!
Hackneyed as it may be; here is another one! The World is your Oyster.
So, extract that pearl. – Grab the world by the horns and get moving!

The other thing that might strike you right between the eyes, is that in view of all the political power-broking, scamming and persecution of minorities that is going on – you might consider that the traditional growth path that previous generations of humans followed; with advice such as; Get a job. Get educated. Find a partner. Have two and a half children and be happy ever after, is becoming increasingly unviable for most.
There is no guarantee that the country you were born in will continue to support you; due to uscrupulous persecution of the citizens who live there – by oligarchical rulers who oppress and ruin people’s lives for their personal gain.
South Africa
For example; in South Africa where my partner and I live, a law was passed by the Government of National Unity titled Expropriation Without Compensation, that has totally removed all property rights; such as kicking you out of the home your family has owned and occupied for generations, or take the watch off your wrist – just because your racial group happens to be in the minority.
In 2010, South Africa was the Darling of the World as they celebrated the momentous event, driven by hard work and creative endeavour of hosting the Soccer World Cup. How far we as a country have fallen since then.
Racism; no matter how much the ANC denies it, which was supposed to have ended in 1994 continues to blight the lives of all South Africans today.
What the stupid government we are cursed with doesn’t realise is that the path the country is on can only lead to more and more poverty, persecution, cruelty, destruction of family life; the like of which has never been seen since the Great Depression of 1929 in the US and elsewhere.
The USA
In the US, gangs of people whom I regard as nothing more than criminal thugs are snatching of the streets naturalised immigrants who have lived there as bone fide citizens of the US for decades, for no reason other than the fact that their skin looks different than that of the government.
Donald Trump, who regards himself as having the God-given right to do exactly as he pleases, is alienating countries, who previously were allies, friends and trading partners of the US, and decimating the lives of working class and poor people or military veterans, many of whom have worked all their lives to gain the wherewithal to have a comfortable and safe retirement; all due to his ridiculous tariff system that hasn’t worked since the 1940s.
He lies constantly to everyone, about how much money his tarriffs are bringing into the country, but the trillions he talks about are coming from the US taxpayers pockets, which is bankrupting businesses and families and causing poorer people and their children and pensioners to die from disease and malnutrition.
He is putting the whole world in jeopardy of having to face the possibility of World War 3 destruction and loss of life if he is not stopped – and the amazing thing is that he told everyone of his intention to become president – and that he would save America and the rest of the world.
And amazingly, the people believed him and gave him the right to do it!
So, if you are not lucky enough to have inherited generational wealth; you might already have chosen and acted upon travelling a different path.
You can be a Digital Nomad
You may have realised that as a Digital Nomad, you can live anywhere, work anywhere and do exactly as you choose in this life – So, armed with your laptop, make the most of the opportunity that has become available to our present generation, that allows you to chart the direction you want to go in, without becoming a slave to corporate leaders, a piece of property, a car that is owned by the bank and government regulation that restricts your ability to run a business your way.
