It’s spread by droplets from an infected person’s mouth, who is coughing, sneezing, speaking; also by touching infected surfaces such as supermarket trolley handles, doorhandles, cellphones etc. etc. and the transferred from your hand to your mouth, nose, eyes etc. That is why it is vitally important to keep washing your hands with soap, or by using hand sanitizers.
#Masks protect front line first responders from being infected by those already infected. These people are vital for our survival. They also protect people who are not infected from those who are not practising social distancing.
Keep yourself healthy by eating the right stuff e.g. protein, carbohydrates and fresh fruit and vegetables., to keep your immune system strong. If you do that, you may even pick up the virus and shrug the virus off without even realising it. However, keep in mind that you can still pass the virus onto others without having experienced any symptoms yourself. Get some exercise even if you have to run around in your garden
#Massive testing is vital. Social distancing is vital, particularly in high density areas where people live in tiny spaces, amidst conditions of desperate poverty, lack of clean water, raw sewage in public spaces and a high level of unemployment. In such high density areas, #social distancing is almost impossible! The results of this situation are frightening to contemplate and it is unlikely that the existing hospitals will be able to cope with the flood of infected people.
It is only by means of massive testing that civic and government leaders will be able to assess the assess the situation, day by day and take appropriate action.
The only hope for such areas is to quarantine the infected people in tented camp hospitals where they can be treated and quarantined separated from the high density areas.
Some areas will reach the peak of new infections within the next few weeks, and then start to go down. However we cannot afford to wait for it to go down. It must be FORCED DOWN.
Countries will have to forget all political and national considerations and work together in a global effort to save lives, irrespective of creed, colour or spiritual persuasions
#Police and the military will have to be given extreme powers to FORCE uncooperative citizens to comply with social distancing and other measures.
A form of #martial law will have to be put in place worldwide to protect all of us.
