Questions re: Amendments to Land Expropriation as presently envisaged

Here are just SOME OF THE QUESTIONS THAT COME TO MIND FOR STARTERS!

1. Does it include improvements to the land, and if so can the landowner receive financial compensation for the improvements?
2. Under what legal circumstances does the SA Government have the right to expropriate a particular plot without compensation?
3. Are the present landowner’s other civil rights, such as the right to earn a living and thus support his family, provide shelter etc taken into account – as per the Constitution, or is this question only answerable through the courts?
4. If a landowner donates land, does he/she have any rights to compensation other than BEE points?
5. Is the value of a commercial enterprise presently operating on the land intended for expropriation, in terms of benefiting the community, providing employment, providing an asset for the citizens to enjoy the use of, benefiting tourism etc. taken into account?

Here’s one – How much of the vast quantities of land that the government simply took as its inheritance AFTER THE 1994/1995 ELECTIONS is it going to donate to the cause of restitution to the so-called dispossessed?

To take a crazy example,: Can we as citizens envisage the horror of Sandton City being knocked down in order to provide RDP houses for the poor? Would such an outlandish step benefit the country as a whole?

Just asking? …

Rightly or wrongly; I have a vision of all our metros and major cities being surrounded by hundreds of thousands of ‘hophuisies’, occupied my millions of people without any reliable source of income, riddled with crime and drugs. Thus, the inhabitants of such cities will no longer be able to operate their businesses effectively or provide tourism income …. and so on. Some examples of this are the thousands of shacks; precariously balanced against the hills surrounding Port Elizabeth (now known as Quebertha) and likewise the ‘Favelas’ in Brazil – BANANA REPUBLIC HERE WE COME!

IS THE ABOVE PICTURE WHAT OUR COUNTRY IS GOING TO LOOK LIKE IN THE FUTURE? A BLIGHT ON THE FACE OF AFRICA INSTEAD OF SERVING AS AS AN EXAMPLE OF what A DEVELOPING COUNTRY COULD BECOME?

Does the ANC; particularly Ramaphosa, really have no idea how to run a so-called developing country? One would think that when Cyril jets around the world hobnobbing with presidents like Biden in the US, Putin in Russia etc that he would take note of how such presidents manage to retain economic prosperity, provide for their people to have satisfying lives, maintain their historical heritage and so on, so that he could learn and apply some lessons on government to South Africa.

(By the way, what happened to the non-black heritage and the European and American and so many other countries’ heritage that is rapidly disappearing in our country; and what happened to our history? South Africa was not magically created from nothing in 1994!!)

What about the heritage of the Khoi San. After all;, everyone should know by now that they were the true original inhabitants of this country; not the Dutch, nor the Europeans and CERTAINLY, WITHOUT QUESTION NOT THE BLACK AFRICAN TRIBES WHO WERE BROUGHT HERE AS SLAVES OR CAME DOWN FROM NORTH AFRICA!!! THE KHOISAN WERE HERE LONG BEFORE ALL THE OTHERS.

Another question – What historic buildings, architectural masterpieces, inspirational works of art and music, successful!! business enterprises, industrial innovations etc. have the black members of our population contributed to the fabulous heritage we have as a country? answer zippo! all they seem to be able to do is to steal!!

Does this man (Cyril) and his cronies not realise that historic buildings, cultures, traditions of ALL A COUNTRY’S PEOPLE! is what makes a country successful and interesting to visit! – not just what happened with the current regime! nor only what happened in the last 30 years. SOUTH AFRICA WAS NOT BORN IN 1994!

Unfortunately, he subscribes to the African traditions of MIGHT IS RIGHT and LINE YOUR OWN POCKETS ABOVE ALL ELSE AND TO HELL WITH THE PEOPLE!

Well if our president and all his cadre cronies don’t stop F ..%$&”…. NG AROUND WITH political wrangling, stabbing each other in the back stashing money in cushions, wasting public money on enormous flagpoles – and all the other pointless things those people do – YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! – AND START HARNESSING ALTERNATIVE ENERGY LIKE – YESTERDAY! THERE WILL BE NO MORE POWER AND NO MORE SOUTH AFRICA AS WE KNOW IT, AND THE ANC CLOWNS WILL BE SITTING IN SHACKS ALONG WITH THE REST OF US!

Ps. I couldn’t help but chuckle when I read about the jihadists being EATEN by lions and crocodiles near the Northern border in Mozambique – HA!! SERVES EM RIGHT FOR ATTACKING OUR WESTERN WAY OF LIFE AND FOR CALLING WESTERNERS INFIDELS – JIHADISTS FOR BREAKFAST!! NATURE TRIUMPHS OVER EVIL!!
