Assuming that we do actually have an election in South Africa next year, here are some predictions of what the outcomes might be:
a) The ANC gets over 50% of the votes and serves for another term. In my humble opinion this is most unlikely, in view of the ongoing catastrophes, such as the energy crisis, dissension within the party, Ramaphosa’s failure as a leader, who changes his mind as often as he changes his socks, and because he has broken every single promise he made to the electorate since he got into power; and surprisingly, he even seems to have lost interest in governing the country. The bulk of the voters seem to have lost all faith in the president, both as a leader and as the head of state.
b) The ANC goes into a coalition with the EFF and thus secures the majority vote. It seems that this also is most unlikely for various reasons; namely, firstly that Malema’s monstrous ego will never allow him to participate in a coalition with the ANC; given his frequent statements about land redistribution without compensation, nationalisation of all major organisations, such as airlines, mines, transport and the like … if this isn’t a clear demonstrate of communist thinking then I don’t know what is! – Don’t try to kid us that it’s Socialsm – it’s not!
c) The EFF goes into a coalition with a group of smaller parties such as the Patriotic Alliance under Gayton McKenzie, the IFP, the Freedom Front Plus, the ACDP etc and thereby gains the majority vote in Parliament. To my mind, this is also unlikely as it would be such a motley collection of parties, all trying to gain the upper hand, using all kinds of underhand tactics, that they could never agree on anything; let alone have a coherent coalition policy.
d) The various major political parties vote – in a federal system of local government, whereby each province has Carte Blanche to run its own affairs in terms of all facets of administration such as provincial government, energy, policing, transport, agricultural administration etc. That way there will be a fairer distribution of power throughout the country; no more cadre deployment and hopefully less corruption, less nepotism, more employment, less poverty a growing economy and so on.
e) The ANC goes into coalition with the DA on a basis whereby the ANC plays a mainly ceremonial role with no real power, but still retains the status of running the country and the DA runs the administration of the country – which Ramaphosa knows they are capable of doing, because of how well they are running the Cape Province.
To my mind, one of the latter two options c) and d) is likely to succeed; simply because, hopefully – 1) cooler heads will prevail and these last two options offer practical solutions; both of which could work; and 2) whichever option comes to pass, at least there will thereafter be less time wasted on endless in-fighting; and then progress on commencing with repairing the country from the ravages of ANC rule will happen sooner.
The violent clashes between rival factions in the taxi industry are continuing, even though attempts are being made to find common ground between the taxi owners’ organisation SANTACO and Council official who are trying to maintain law and order, by attempts to enforce the rule of law. However; as one would expect, criminal syndicates are also involved; while vain attempts to stop the fires of violence and damage to vehicles and death and injury to both combatants and bystanders continues.
STOP PRESS:
I see that the Ethekwini ratepayers have decided not to pay rates to the municipality anymore, and instead have put the money into a trust account. When confronted by Council officials they will say that they will start paying rates again when the Council starts fixing all the problems caused by the lack of service delivery to residents. GREAT IDEA! Why hasn’t that been done before? Let the Council and Government officials FEEL IT IN THEIR POCKETS; THEN MAYBE THEY WILL START DOING THEIR JOBS INSTEAD OF STEALING!
It’s high time that the citizens in our country start making government appointed officials accountable for repairing the damage they have caused over the last twenty years. WHY DON’T THE OSTRICH MENTALITY CITIZENS GET THEIR HEADS OUT OF THE SAND AND START DOING THINGS THAT WILL MAKE CIVIL OFFICE BEARERS CATCH A WAKE UP; START DOING THINGS THAT WILL MAKE ALL THE CADRES START FIXING WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE COUNTRY INSTEAD OF CONSTANTLY LOOKING FOR SCAPEGOATS TO BLAME FOR THOSE FAILURES!

8/8/23: 8 a.m. Three young women shot dead in Khayelitsha; apparently this attack had something to do with service delivery protests. My sincere condolences go out to the friends and family of those young women.
South Africa is being destroyed by ruthless gangster kingpins who kill; not in peaceful protest against those who fail to deliver services, but because of criminal syndicates whose agenda is for their followers to loot, destroy and kill in the interest of disrupting our country. It pains me to state my belief that criminals including many of the youth in our country are being stirred-up into taking such actions because of the reckless, dangerous actions perpetrated by SAVAGES SUCH AS MALEMA AND HIS FOLLOWERS.
The big question is – who are these gangsters getting their instructions and/ or exhortations from? My guess is that because of the huge potential Africa has; especially South Africa, for economic and engineering investment, mining and perhaps even digital and AI investment wealthy, fast developing countries like Russia, the US, China and others have realised that it is in their interest to cause South Africa to collapse entirely, so one or more of those countries could step in militarily, take-over whatever is left of the government and reduce the average south African’s states to slavery to serve their new communist masters.
