The election is over. Amazingly, and beyond all expectations, the ANC took a 15% drop. The DA held steady despite immense criticism and in fact rose slightly. MK was the hero of the event by recording a huge total for a first-time party and was largely responsible for the utter failure of the ANC to capture 50% plus of the votes.
According to the Daily Maverick, the ANC now has to choose between one of the following coalition partnership options:
Option 1: a coalition between the ANC, the EFF and MK.
The MK wants to get rid of the constitution and they do not want Ramaphosa to remain as President. So far, Ramaphosa is showing no inclination to abandon the constitution, nor to stand down as President. If the ANC cadres use their heads, they will realise that option 1 will lead to an economic meltdown, no more foreign investment for the foreseeable future complete takeover of society by criminal mafias and accelerated devastation for the vast economically unviable group of the country’s population.
Therefore, that leaves them with Option 2; a coalition between the ANC, the DA and the EFF.
As the Daily Maverick says; This will cause complete chaos in the central Parliament which from now on will be the battle ground where South Africa will decide the immediate future of the country; as they say – “Crazy Interesting” times lie ahead. At least now the playing fields will be more level!
‘Wishy washy’ Ramaphosa, as usual, is taking the middle ground and following the ANC’ ‘s party directive. He now speaks of finding a solution that takes into account the lives of all South Africans. IT’S ABOUT BL … DY TIME AND WHY DID IT TAKE 30 YEARS THEM TO FIGURE THAT ONE OUT?
Of course, we all know that it’s not really Cyril that’s speaking but rather the voice of the cadres.
Steenhuizen of the D.A. admits that the outcome of the election was not what the DA had hoped for, which was 50% + of the votes. but went on to say that the D.A. would continue the fight to “save South Africa” from 30 years of mismanagement and corruption.
Watch this space. It’s going to be a bumpy but exciting ride!
