But the fatal flaw is that his dream of continuing on the path of the NATIONAL DEMOCRATIC REVOLUTION, in which participating in the GNU is merely a tactical strategy to advance the ANC’s programme of so-called reform is pure fantasy, designed to placate the growing disappointment of South Africans at the ANC’s failure to solve the critical problems still facing South Africa, namely: BB BEE, PATRONAGE OF ANC CADRES, CRITICALLY DEEPENING POVERTY, INCREASING UNEMPLOYMENT, THE STRENGTHENING CRIMINAL MAFIAS, NO SERVICE DELIVERY IN AREAS CONTROLLED BY THE ANC.
MR MBALULE DO YOU REALLY THINK THAT THE ELECTORATE IS SO STUPID THAT THEY ARE STILL SWALLOWING YOUR CRAP?
The so-called National Democratic Revolution died a long time ago. You and your party are still trying to convince the South African public that the ANC still has clout in the corridoors of political and corporate power in this country. They lost a huge amount of credibility and power in the recent national election and they will never get it back.
Yes? the GNU is flawed; mainly because coalition government is difficult. It does not really reflect the will of the people – because coalitions are unstable because the leaders of political parties are more interested in gaining and retaining power by sniping at the failures of other parties, than pursuing the national agenda of improving the lives of all by delivering services and prosperity. However, despite these obvious flaws; the GNU has just recently passed the Hundred Day Mark and the newly elected Cabinet Ministers and Portfolio Committee leaders and members, are continuing to do a stirling job.

Unfortunately, the BREAKERS in Tshwane such as Herman Mashaba of Action SA and the ANC engineered the departure of Cilliers Brink, despite the wonderful job he has been doing in Tshwane. Mashaba seems to be desperately trying to pursue a vendetta against both Brink and the DA, in order to shore-up the failing fortunes of Action SA. The jury is still out on that one. However Cilliers Brink remains determined to fight back by attempting re-election as Mayor.
THE BOTTOM LINE IS THAT IN THE MAIN, DEMOCRACY AND CAPITALISM WORKS. This is borne-out by the fact that; despite the problems that affect America, the UK and other democratic European countries, such as poor immigration policy, the failure of National Health Services in general, the constant vigilance to prevent escalation in nuclear testing, megalomaniacal or irresponsible tendencies by aspiring and existing leaders such as Donald Trump and serving president Joe Biden, respectively; and the fact that democratic world leaders continue to be propped-up by their supporters – despite advancing age and senility; THE UK AND USA CONTINUE TO BE EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL DEMOCRATIC CAPITALIST COUNTRIES.
The fact is that despite the negative messages publicised by the anti-constitutional, anti DA anti- GNU, pro-socialist individuals on both the blinkered traditional members of the ANC and those outside the GNU, such as the socialist minded MK and EFF. the country as a whole is cautiously optimistic about the GNU; and even more importantly, indicators such as;
- Trade balance – positive for the first-time in the decade
- stock market trending upwards
- GDP increased by 0.4% during 2nd quarter
are looking better.
To change the subject; it is fascinating to me to see the blossoming bromance between Ramaphosa and billionare entrepeneur Elon Musk. Photographs showing Musk and Cyril obviously enjoying each other’s company speak volumes! Its been a long while since Ramaphosa has looked so relaxed and perhaps even happy. Let’s hope that some good for our country comes out of it.
This relationship seems to bode well for our country in the troublesome times we are in at present.
Generally, political commentators such as Mike Sham of State of The Nation podcast, Rob Hersov, and Frans Cronje seem to be more hopeful about the country’s prospects.
