Facts
- BRICS is growing by leaps and bounds
- There are now 18 members
- New members now include; Uzbekustan, Malasia, Thailand, Uganda, Belarus, Bolivia, Uganda, Argentina, cuba, Indonesia and Kazakstan
- China has banned export of critical rare minerals to the US, including Gallium and Germanium
BRICS, representing the Global South, now comprises 41% of the world’s economy, contains nearly half of the world’s population, produces huge amounts of food and one third of global oil.
Trump’s latest move in the global power game is about geopolitics. Trump has said that he wants the European Union to buy more oil and gas from the US and he is threatening to levy serious tariffs against the EU if they don’t comply. This move could cause serious problems for the EU, as increasing their use of non-renewable energy resources could clash with commitments the EU has made with European countries to slow down climate change and destruction of human and animal habitats world-wide.

Amazingly, this seems to indicate that for once, Trump is using the negotiating skills he honed while building his property empire, as a ‘Trump card’ (LOL), to achieve a crucial objective.
Although this move will probably go some way to pacify his outraged MAGA supporters who have now realised that his disastrous government picks for his future government bode very badly for them personally; by pushing up the cost of living, and causing many to lose their jobs and businesses; they might now realise that occasionally, he does something that shows that he isn’t always as dumb as he looks and sounds.
However, it seems that this was only a temporary return to sanity; which was shown by his Christmas message to all Americans via 40 tweets in his Truth Social account. All he did was to praise his own doubtful accomplishments, attack his enemies; of which there are many, and tell the convicted criminals on death row, whose sentences were commuted by Biden to lifelong imprisonment – to Go To Hell! – Wow! Is this the behaviour that befits America’s future president?
Trump is like a toddler, who when he doesn’t get his way throws a tantrum.

Unfortunately, his current tantrums will undoubtedly have devastating effects on both his fellow Americans and the rest of the planet.
Trump continues to add nations to the list of territories he threatens to annexe and add to the USA, as new states; such as Greenland, Mexico and Canada; including the 27 countries that make-up the European Union; as well as the US taking back the Panama Canal. However, so far, all of the countries and areas mentioned have not only shown him the finger; they have countered his tariff-based threats by stating that they will retaliate right back at the US with counter-tariffs; indicating quite clearly that they view his threats with contempt.
Unfortunately, Donnie Boy is so thick-skinned that he is never embarrassed by sarcasm, roasting, cartoons and criticism; as, being a complete narcissist, he is so laser-focused on himself and his sycophantic followers and supporters, that he is completely oblivious of such reactions.
Regarding Green Energy – China, under President XI is demonstrating that it is streets ahead of the rest of the world in several ways.
China and the US are the topmost polluters in the world; while at the same time China is way ahead of all countries, including the US, by taking action against the threats of global warming and atmospheric pollution. How smart is that! The difference between China and the US is that while America is playing childish games under the guise of emp-ire building, such as annexing or buying; Canada, Mexico Greenland – all in the interests of promoting Trump’s image as a global leader and negotiator; China is quietly building its predominance in:
EV (electric vehicles – for some time now, China has been leading the manufacturing, design, distribution and sales of EVs by miles) This process is helped by Trump’s ridiculous tariff against China and other countries.
Manufacturing and global trade
Green energy
Building-up its military
Communications (the Belt and Rail network)
Coming back to BRICS; it seems that this increasingly powerful bloc that is set on achieving its ends as political, economic, and military leader globally; predominantly the US, had better catch a wake-up before BRICS leaves them in the dust.
